Features

• Plastics, vulcanized rubber and all types of polymer can be completely crushed after freezing with liquid nitrogen.

• Polymers up to 3 grams can be crushed at one time except polycarbonate and high density polyethylene; for the latter two, 1.5g maximum.

• JFC-300 is an effective tool in pretreatment for polymer characterization resulting in:
  1. Increased accuracy for outgas analysis from polymer since the sample is prepared to uniform size.
  2. IR spectrum can be obtained from vulcanized rubber if the rubber together with KBr is crushed   
      before preparing the KBr disk.
  3. NMR spectrum can be obtained on a solid sample after pulverizing the sample.
